A semi-productive day!

Tuesday, November 27, 2007
I have been extremely tired over the last few days...actually more like the last few weeks. When I went to bed last night I decided I was going to get my butt out of bed in the morning and get something done! And, I did! I did some organizing of bills and receipts and such. I downloaded some pictures to the Walgreens website to be printed. I called in some prescription refills. I even went to Super Target to pick up some cheese for hiding Charlie's pain meds and some little chew treats for him. I figured, "What the heck! What better time to spoil my guy than when he's so sick and he hurts?" So now it's 9:00 pm and I need to mix my Flolan and take my other night meds and get going to bed. I think I'll try this approach again tomorrow!

Charlie update: I just don't know how much bigger his thigh and leg can get. He's still eating, he's got a new addiction.... Twizzlers! (What the heck, right?) He still wags his tail when he's sees one of us or when we say his name. But, he's putting almost no weight on his left leg at all. "Doing his business" is getting tougher. The poor guy. I'm so glad that he doesn't really know what's going on.

Thanks for reading.
Annette

Hi Annette.
Reading about Charlie makes me miss my Bo. He loved twizzlers too and would always stop by the drawer they were in just in case someone would open it and give him one. It was so funny. I just have to keep remembering the goofy things he did. It always makes me smile. Putting him to sleep was the hardest thing we ever had to do but he was sooo miserable and there was nothing the vet could do. Take care and don't overdo!! Love, Paula

Hi honey,
You just gave me an inspiration to get my "butt in gear" after I get home today from having my hair trimmed and proteined. I have bills and receipts that need organized and PAID and I have a gazillion coupons to cut out. I put these things off and off and off and then I can't see past what I need to do to get to some of the "funner" things I could be doing. I need to get back to my crafts, I have wasted so much time this year and the year has just blown by. I can't let my days blow by like this without making the most of them. It's like just removing days from the calendar, and that is horrible.
You inspire me. You are such a wonderful person and give me incentive to do something. You do so many things for so many people and even though I know you are tired and have the same illness as the rest of your PHamily, you still make such a difference in so many lives.
That was so nice of you to get Charlie some snacks to put his medicine in.Oh, I feel so bad that Charlie is so sick and I feel so bad that you and Rod and the kids are going to have to send him to the Rainbow Bridge someday. I know I keep telling you this, but you will know when to let go.
I love you sweetie, enjoy him while you can and read to him and talk to him. That's what I did for Chelsee. She would lay half on my lap and I would read her books. She just laid there. She was a yellow lab, not quite as big as Charlie and she had lost about 20 lbs. too. They are truly our children.
Much love and many hugs and blessings,
Sue :-)

Poor Charlie. I guess really he is living pretty "high on the hog" with all of his treats, but I hate to think that his leg is hurting him.
You sounded like you were a woman on a mission. Boy did you make the rest of us look lazy. Take care of yourself and allow for rest in between your spurts of energy. hugs, di
